July 21, 2011 School Facilities Master Plan Review

The School Facilities Master Plan Biennial Review is being held in the month of July. We are encouraging you to attend the meeting in your school district and share your thoughts on the proposed amendments to the SFMP plan. Please find information containing the meeting date and a listing of schools that will be discussed at your corresponding district meeting.

Volunteer Clerks sought by NOPD

If you want to work in the New Orleans Police Department without having to go through the rigors of the training academy, Superintendent Ronal Serpas has a deal for you.

It’s a volunteer program called Volunteers Can Lead, or VoCaL. While it won’t let participants strap on heat or arrest suspects, it does offer administrative and clerical opportunities. For the full story, follow this link.
