Check these websites for information about the candidates:The Algiers Clean Sweep scheduled for November 6 has been cancelled. The organizers were unable to secure the dumpsters or recycling services that have become such a big part of the program due to the huge and overwhelming demand for sanitation and rebuilding services in the region. The event will be rescheduled in the spring of 2022. We will try to schedule a Walnut Bend Clean-up at a later date.
Some folks plan to meet at Holiday and General DeGaulle by 9am this Saturday (Nov. 6) addressing clogged storm drains by Hancock-Whitney and Algiers Regional Public Library first, then move to other suggested areas. Folks can park in the Algiers Regional NOPL lot as space permits. You will have to bring your own shovels, brooms, and / or rakes, plus work gloves and personal refreshment.
Join Algiers Economic Development Foundation and City Council District C on November 6 for Algiers Clean Sweep. Gather your Clean-up Krewe, and let’s make Algiers sparkle!
Walnut Bend has a team for the Clean Sweep. If you can be a part of the Walnut Bend Krewe, please click here and we will add you to the team. Information about where we will meet, etc. will be provided before November 6.
If you prefer to participate as an individual, register at bit.ly/CleanSweepF21.
