Neighborhood Watch Training – May 20 – June 4

Walnut Bend is again part of Neighborhood Watch!

To be a part of the program, residents must participate in training that covers a multitude of topics, including how to successfully recruit and organize, form partnerships with local businesses and civic organizations, and the best methods for recognizing, observing and reporting, criminal activity to the NOPD.

To successfully complete the program and be certified, attendees must be present for all classes and upon completion show they were able to institute the program in their area. Neighborhood Organizations who are successfully certified are eligible to receive two complementary Neighborhood Watch street signs, courtesy of the Fraternal Order of Police.

If you volunteered for Neighborhood Watch via Nextdoor, or are just interested in knowing more about it, attend the following sessions at the Algiers Regional Library:

May 20 (Small Conference Room)  6:00-7:00

May 27 (Small Conference Room)  6:00-7:00

June 3 (Large Conference Room)  6:00 – 7:00

June 4 (Small Conference Room) 6:00 – 7:00

The classes are approximately 40 minutes. Please be prompt.
